My thigh muscles ache, my neck is sunburnt, but after two days hard labour in the blistering sun we have a new flower bed and trellis. When the Jasmine grows it should hide the rather ugly shed behind.
Still feeling comfortably full after eating Sunday roast - chicken, potatoes, stuffing, parsnips, carrots and leeks. Followed by home-made chocolate chip cookies.
Trevor's 50th birthday party tonight. Only just over 3 years till I pass that milestone.
Practiced the guitar for 3 hours solid tonight. Getting the hang of "Wonderwall" by Oasis and Bob Dylan's "Just Like a Woman".

Work continues apace on our extension. Last week the builders dug a big hole in the ground for a "soakaway", to take rainwater from the extension roof (apparently our Thames Water drain can't cope with this extra water). The roof is on and the Velux windows installed.
Next week it's the window and patio doors.
Harry had his first "DJ" event last night. He managed to lose the mask before he even arrived and came home without the bow tie (MY bow tie!).
In honor of tomorrow's Thanksgiving feast, show us a turkey.
A new toy arrived today, via Ebay: a Yamaha bass guitar. I tried it out this evening and it sounds great. So far all I can play is the baseline from "Peaches" by the Stranglers and the intro bit from the BBC's Forumula 1 grand prix programme.
