My thigh muscles ache, my neck is sunburnt, but after two days hard labour in the blistering sun we have a new flower bed and trellis. When the Jasmine grows it should hide the rather ugly shed behind.

Soakaway in the garden for rainwater from the extension roof
Progress to date: 30 November 2008
Roof & floor insulation & Velux windows

Work continues apace on our extension. Last week the builders dug a big hole in the ground for a "soakaway", to take rainwater from the extension roof (apparently our Thames Water drain can't cope with this extra water). The roof is on and the Velux windows installed.

Next week it's the window and patio doors.
